Evelyn (34) and Kayode (37) have bought their first home just in time for their daughter to turn one.
The couple had been searching for their dream new-build home for around three years, while renting a flat in Salford. When they welcomed their daughter last year, they knew it was time to move.
Evelyn said: “We wanted to buy a new build as neither of us enjoy DIY and we didn’t want to spend a fortune renovating an older property. We looked at lots of new build homes, but we liked the growing community here in Rochdale. We actually have some friends already living on the development too. They told me how family-friendly it is and how good the nurseries are nearby.”
The family are now settled into their three-bedroom detached home at Calico Grove. They selected the Lea house type for its spacious, open-plan kitchen and family area that allows Evelyn to cook while her daughter plays nearby.
Evelyn says, “Long may the good news continue. We’ve moved into our first home, and our daughter took her first steps within a week of moving in!”
Calico Grove is a collection of 96 high-specification, energy-efficient homes situated south of Rochdale town centre. A range of detached and semi-detached homes are available, featuring skylight windows, French doors and open plan designs.
Speaking about their experiences with Countryside Homes, Evelyn said: “It’s been a straightforward process, the team has been very helpful throughout. Since moving in the site manager has been very attentive, coming round to check if we need anything to help us settle in. We’d heard some negative things about other housebuilders, but lots of positives about Countryside Homes. We’re really happy with our decision.”
