There have been many Countryside love stories over the years, but we’ve put together a collection of those that stand out to us - and we’re going to start with one of our OG couples.
We first met James and Olivia towards the end of 2020, as they had found and reserved their dream Countryside home.
Now the couple are settled in their new home with their daughter Millie and Olivia told us “it’s everything we ever wanted - and more!”
Theirs is without a doubt the most lovely story, but there’s one thing about it we love even more.
“We made it our own from the beginning and it feels like we’ve been here forever, but it was being able to bring our baby, Minnie, home to this house that really made it feel like home,” says Olivia.
One of the greatest loves is that of a parent for a child so here’s an against-all-odds story about new mum Charlotte (29). Charlotte was able to turn her dreams of becoming a homeowner into a reality at Millbank Lock in Partington, where prices for a two-bed currently start at £109,998 with Countryside and Sage Homes’ Home Stepper scheme.
“I’d been waiting for the houses at Millbank Lock to become available for some time, as I want to move closer to my family when I go back to work after maternity leave. As a solo buyer, I wouldn’t have been able to get onto the property ladder, but thanks to Home Stepper and Countryside, I’ve been able to do it.”
Charlotte told us “it really felt like everything was falling into place” and that’s something we hear a lot of.
Now in their early seventies, Sue and Kenneth recently decided to make the move from their home of 30 years to a smaller, more manageable and super stylish home at Radclyffe Green in Chadderton.
They told us: “As soon as we walked out of the sales office on our first visit, we both turned to each other and said ‘this is it'.”
“We didn’t expect to settle in so quickly, but our new house instantly felt like home.”
“This will definitely be our forever home, we can’t see ourselves moving anywhere else now and we would encourage anyone thinking of downsizing to go for it.”
If that isn’t true love, we don’t know what is!
