Kaosara, Sam and their growing family have bought their dream home in Salford after four years of shared ownership, using Countryside Homes’ 5% deposit scheme.
Choosing a four-bedroom home at The Fairways at Brackley Village in Salford, they completed on their new home while Kaosara was heavily pregnant with their second child.
Their new home is the couple's first property where they have full ownership. They were previously living in a shared ownership home that helped them onto the property ladder.
Commenting on their buying experience, Kaosara said: “Shared ownership was a great way to get our foot in the door, but we really wanted to own something outright. With Countryside Homes’ 5% deposit scheme, we were able to move in before our second child arrived. It was a really quick process, I didn’t realise how quickly shared ownership homes sell! We sold our home within a week, reserved our Countryside Home in April, and we were moved in by June.”
The family are now settling into their new home, an Ashley house type from Countryside Homes. The spacious property is famed for its skylights in both the kitchen/dining room and the second-floor private master suite.
Speaking about the house type, Kaosara said: “The skylights and master suite are what attracted us to the Ashley initially. We were looking at other house types, but the three-floor design really appealed to us. We’ve also now got a home office where we work 95% of the time. It suits our needs perfectly.”
But it was the community at The Fairways at Brackley Village that really stood out to the couple. Kaosara said: “People laugh at me when I say this, but I almost cried when I saw children playing out and riding their bikes around the development when we first visited. You just don’t see that anymore. It's a lovely family environment and one I knew I wanted to raise my children in.”
