Showhomes in the Spotlight: The Ashop at The Fairways

The new show homes at The Fairways at Brackley Village in Salford are officially open and we’ve been speaking to the mastermind behind them, Sam Simmonds, Creative Director at Killer5 Interior Designs.

Last month, we showed you round The Bowmont a four bedroom home and now we’re ready to take you through The Ashop, a beautiful three bedroom home, decorated with a young family in mind. 

The Living Area

We’ve opted for soft light pinks and paired with a strong navy blue throughout the rooms in this home.

In the living area, the sofa is petal pink and to contrast we’ve added a large, upholstered buttoned seat which can be used as a footstool or a coffee table. 

An occasional chair sits in the bay window area to maximise this space and a lot of natural, untreated wood and rattan has been incorporated. 

The Kitchen

We’ve flipped the living area colour palette round in here and opted for soft pinks on the walls in the kitchen dining area. 

The deep blue sofa with black, rattan natural sideboard provides a contrast, and creates a rustic-natural feel, whilst the dining table has been paired with bright pink velvet chairs. 

We added planting to create a natural element and wanted to move away from traditional framed pictures, so added some character with the canvas prints above the sofa. 

The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has been decorated with a boho, feminine style that is quite eclectic.  

Again you’ll see the downstairs colour palette in this room, with soft pinks paired with a contrasting navy.
