Bestwood is an area that is undergoing a significant amount of regeneration investment and Countryside are proud to be at the heart of this. Currently, there is a good selection of day-to-day shops for essentials, as well as a post office and a leisure centre within walking distance of Garvey Glade. Nottingham city centre is less than half an hour away by bus.

Green spaces are essential to wellbeing and Garvey Glade is being expertly designed with this in mind; there will be plenty of green space on the doorsteps of the development’s new homes. Slightly further afield you will find Bestwood Country Park which has been developed to be accessible by all. Here you’ll find Greenwood Forest which boasts a wide-ranging network of graded paths and woodland walks for all abilities. Wildlife is abundant here, with a huge array of different habitats, a programme of fun activities, plus a range of beautiful environmental artworks can be found dotted around the woods.

Nottingham is a major shopping destination with a growing number of independent boutiques as well as all of the usual high street favourites. There is a good choice of supermarkets, with a huge Tesco Extra less than half a mile away from Garvey Glade so you are well-covered for the big shop! The Lace Market district in central Nottingham is home to a great selection of restaurants and bars catering for every taste and budget. For a different experience, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem claims to be the oldest pub in Britain and is built into the castle walls. For a day out with a difference, visit the acclaimed Attenborough Nature Reserve which is less than half an hour away. Here, there are a series of raised walkways above wetlands, and lakes featuring a wide range of different birds & wildlife
