Countryside Partnerships, part of Vistry Group, is proud to have sponsored the Watford Rural Parish Council (WRPC) community fun day, which took place at the Market Square of South Oxhey Central development in Hertfordshire on Saturday 2nd December.
Hosted and organised by WRPC, the community fun day was well attended by local residents and families who enjoyed the wide range of activities on offer, including face painting, a balloon artist, various games stalls and a raffle. Those who attended were also able to enjoy various fairground rides and take a visit to Santa's grotto.
As part of a commitment towards the lasting success of the areas in which we operate, Countryside made a donation of £1,000 towards the event, and all proceeds from the day were donated to Ascend, a charity tackling unemployment, social deprivation and learning disabilities in the local community, and the South Oxhey Food Bank.
In partnership with Home Group and Three Rivers District Council, Countryside is delivering 659 new homes and 55,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space at South Oxhey Central, including a 18,500 sq. ft. Lidl food store and a revamped retail experience at Carpenders Park railway station. Set among two acres of landscaped parks and public spaces, it will evolve into a high-quality sustainable neighbourhood with a strong sense of place and community identity, that is attractive for living, working and recreation.
