Countryside Partnerships is thrilled that Elderswell Village, Turvey, having won the title of Residential Project of the Year in the Constructing Excellence Regional Awards, has been announced as a finalist in the upcoming National Constructing Excellence Awards.
Elderswell Village was developed by Countryside Partnerships for Inspired Villages. It is a £35.7 million, state-of-the-art assisted living village that comprises of 128 homes, specially designed to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for individuals and couples over 65.
What truly sets Elderswell Village apart is its resolute dedication to environmental stewardship. From the very inception of the project to its construction, sustainability was at the forefront. Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) were employed to reduce carbon emissions and waste, setting a new benchmark in the industry. The development proudly features eco-friendly elements like a ground source heat pump, PV panels, LED lighting, EV charging points, and FSC timber.
Elderswell Village actively champions wildlife preservation, safeguarding natural features while creating serene green spaces for residents. Ecological enhancements include artificial bat roosts, bird nesting areas, and hibernacula for reptiles and hedgehogs, fostering a harmonious coexistence with nature.
Beyond its environmental achievements, Elderswell Village has been a powerful catalyst for local economic growth. Over the three-year construction journey, the project generated approximately 50 jobs annually. Upon completion, an additional 25 operational jobs were created, solidifying our commitment to the local community.
This remarkable achievement was made possible through the extraordinary teamwork and collaboration of all involved. Our project team has consistently engaged with the local community, organising events, providing regular updates, and addressing concerns with unwavering dedication. Collaborations with various agencies ensured that each property was finished to the highest standards, catering to the diverse needs of the residents.
