Four Countryside Partnerships schemes shortlisted at the British Homes Awards 2023

We are proud to share that we have been shortlisted in five categories at this year's British Homes Awards with Beaulieu in Essex, Rochester Riverside in Kent, Brunel Street Works, East London, South Oxhey Central in Hertfordshire and The Quarters @ Redhill, Telford all recognised.

The British Homes Awards is one of the most prestigious in the industry and recognises excellence and innovation in the sector, with a particular emphasis on architecture, interior design and build quality.

Our joint venture development with L&Q, Beaulieu, which comprises circa 3,600 homes across 604 acres in Chelmsford, Essex, has been shortlisted in the Best Mixed-use Development category. Creating a thriving neighbourhood that truly meets the needs of modern living, alongside delivering high quality new homes. Beaulieu also provides new community, health, sport and retail amenities, Essex’s first all-through primary and secondary school, a day nursery and education centre.

Rochester Riverside in Kent has been shortlisted in the Best Housing Partnership category, recognising the successful joint venture between Countryside Partnerships and Hyde. Transforming a 74-acre brownfield site into a new mixed-tenure community, the scheme will eventually deliver 1,400 new homes, alongside green spaces and public amenities.

South Oxhey Central, our £218m mixed-use regeneration scheme with Home Group, has been shortlisted for Regeneration Scheme of the Year. The recognition celebrates how the existing South Oxhey town centre in Hertfordshire and three unused sites have been turned into a modern and vibrant hub for local residents and businesses. Set amongst two acres of landscaped parks and public spaces will be 55,000 sq. ft. of retail and commercial space, including a 18,500 sq. ft. Lidl food store, a revamped retail experience at Carpenders Park railway station and 659 new homes.

Brunel Street Works is an exemplary mixed-use urban quarter in Canning Town, comprising 975 homes, of which 35% are affordable and 30% are designed for families. The scheme has been shortlisted for the Mixed Use Development of the Year award.

The Quarters @ Redhill, our 450 home development just off the A5 near Telford, has been chosen as one of just four finalists in the Best Garden/Landscaping Design category.

The landscaping at The Quarters @ Redhill features 27.8 acres of green space which includes wildflowers, grassland, meadows, tree-planting, ponds, aquatic planting, and a community orchard. The company has worked in partnership with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and the Hedgehog Preservation Society to create areas to help protect and nurture local wildlife.
