Demand rises for new homes launched in oldham
03 May 2024

Countryside Homes is attracting interest amongst prospective homeowners at its newest development in Oldham, after opening the doors to its latest collection of two, three and four bedroom homes.

Bringing 187 much-needed energy efficient homes to the area, Hartshead View will comprise a mix of detached and semi-detached properties with prices starting from £224,995.

The launch of Hartshead View follows the success of Countryside Homes’ popular Radclyffe Green in Chadderton and completed neighbouring site, Radclyffe Gardens, as well as Heyside Grove in Royton.

Appealing to first-time buyers and families alike, Hartshead View is ideal for those looking to commute to nearby towns and cities, whilst being in close proximity to excellent rated schools and beautiful countryside. Named after local landmark Hartshead Pike, the development is located two miles south of Oldham town centre and 30 minutes from Manchester city centre, with nearby access to the M60.

Countryside Homes has forged relationships with local primary schools since construction began at Hartshead View in 2022. Pupils at Medlock Valley Primary School, Holy Rosary RC Primary School and St Martin’s CofE Primary School have all received lessons in health and safety, understanding the importance of staying safe when playing near to or walking past building sites.

Two showhomes are set to open at Hartshead View in August 2024, and prior to that buyers can take a tour of showhomes at nearby Countryside Homes’ developments across Greater Manchester.

The homes are being built by Countryside Homes, part of the Vistry Group, with a proportion of properties available through affordable housing provider Great Places Housing Group and Sigma Capital’s private rental brand, Simple Life.

Joe Turner, Managing Director, Manchester and Cheshire East, Vistry, said: “Expanding our presence in Oldham and providing more energy efficient homes for local people indicates the scale of demand in this area of Greater Manchester.

“We’ve enjoyed building relationships with neighbouring schools and educating children on the importance of site safety. Investing in the areas in which we build is a crucial part of our commitment to leave a positive legacy long after construction completes.

“We’ve already started welcoming visitors to our sales suite every day from the local area and across Greater Manchester, so would advise anyone interested to get in touch with our sales team and book an appointment.”

Countryside Homes offers a number of schemes to help prospective homeowners including access to lower, affordable mortgage rates over a fixed period, through new incentive Own New Rate Reducer.
