Countryside Partnerships, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, has raised £28,000 for Alzheimer’s Society by hosting the third edition of its annual five-a-side charity football tournament with key partners and supply chain in its London West business unit.
Hosted at Powerleague Shepherd’s Bush, the Countryside Cup was won by MD Developments, who ran out as the winners after a close final against FDL, while Gypcraft ran out the winners in the Plate competition after beating fellow finalists TC Carpentry. Following the trophy ceremony, the day culminated in a cheque presentation to Alzheimer’s Society by Daniel King, Managing Director for London West at Countryside Partnerships.
Alzheimer’s Society is the chosen charity of the Vistry Group for 2023 and provides help and support to people affected by all types of dementia through some of the hardest and most frightening times. Their aim is to make sure people living with dementia and their carers live more fulfilled and less fearful lives, free from stigma and inequality. Alzheimer’s Society is a leading force for change using cutting edge research and influencing to push for breakthroughs that’ll change the lives of people affected by dementia, now and in the future.
Daniel King, Managing Director, London West, Countryside Partnerships, commented: “One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia, and so we are proud to have raised awareness and funds for the vital work that Alzheimer’s Society does through our annual charity five-a-side tournament. We couldn’t have done so without our partners and supply chain, whose generosity will help to bring an end to the devastation caused by dementia. Our commitment to building sustainable communities goes beyond building new homes, and we’d like to thank all of the teams for embracing this ethos so wholeheartedly.”
The tournament was supported by the following companies: A&Q, Powell Tolner Associates, Foundation Development Ltd, Focus, Foxtons, Framework (Specialist Works) Ltd, Gypcraft Ltd, Houlihan, Kingston Landscape Group, Madigan Gill Ltd, MD Developments, OCSC, Orchard Plumbing Ltd, Interior Partnerships, Stanmore, Statom, TC Carpentry, Rye and PIB Contractors Ltd.
