Countryside Partnerships, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, is giving back to the community in Whitchurch where it has been working on the £19.1m Pauls Moss development with Wrekin Housing Group, Shropshire Council, NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Council and local GPs since 2022.
Countryside Partnerships has joined forces with Wrekin Housing Group and Shropshire Council to sponsor Blackberry Fair, Whitchurch’s free family festival which brings the community together in an autumnal celebration of culture. Established in 2007, Blackberry Fair combines homegrown talent with professional artists across five stages against a backdrop of rustic markets and mouthwatering street food.
Countryside Partnerships’ housing and health hub at Pauls Moss will provide the Whitchurch area with modern health care services, and bring the existing GP practice into a modern, purpose-built centre and community space.
The development will also offer combined housing and care services for the over 55s, helping to meet the needs of Shropshire’s growing and ageing population.
Adam Sharpe, Managing Director, Countryside Partnerships South West Midlands, said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor this year’s Blackberry Fair festival. Creating community is key to Countryside’s work in Whitchurch and engaging with and listening to the local communities and partners is central to this work.
“Our approach in Whitchurch incorporates design for life principles, creating a place which connects into the existing community. We are doing more than meeting a housing need, we are building health facilities for the wider community, ensuring a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come. The team has made excellent progress working in collaboration with Wrekin, The NHS, our design consultants and the supply chain.”
