“It just felt right for a family.” Simon and Caroline on The Foss at City Fields
Simon (49) and his wife Caroline (51) said their first thought when they stepped into the showhome at City Fields in Wakefield, was “so much space, so much light”.

Everyone’s lifestyle is different and for Simon and Caroline, ‘The Foss’ suited their life as a family, with their teenage son and pet dog.

A multi-functional space

“It worked for us with it being open-plan with Velux windows. It just felt right for a family,” said Simon.

“Having access to the garden from all the spaces downstairs is what we’ve always wanted,” adds Caroline.

Entertain, relax or dine

The open-plan kitchen / dining space is their favourite room in the house and here Caroline explains why: “It gives us access from the kitchen into the family room and you can be together all of the time.”

For them as a family it helps them whether they’re cooking meals or having friends and family over.

Waggy tails and waterside walks

The openness of the development and the different style of houses attracted them to City Fields too, with some part render, some all brick and different colour bricks.

Their family are settled in their new home now, enjoying lower energy bills and meeting lots of fellow dog walkers on their long canalside walks.
